Disc Replication & Authoring Service
Why use replication?
Replication is a process suitable for producing discs in quantities of 1000 or more, because the process is more efficient for larger quantities compared to duplication. The replication process essentially stamps discs from a "glass master" using poly-carbonate, whereas the duplication process burns each disc individually. Replication takes more time due to the extra steps needed to create the master disc, but is much more efficient when it comes to copying the data onto the discs.
Steps Needed for Replication:
- Customer supplied art and content
- CD / DVD .pdf proof for face art
- Glass master for replication
- Film output for CD / DVD art
- Offset / Screen-print full-color printing on CD / DVD
- Replication of desired quantity
- Master testing and quality check
- Packaging
